Welcome to the Beavers section of the Exeter District Scouts

Beavers are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years of age. They form a large part of the Scouting family in Exeter, with around 200 Beavers in 12 colonies spread all over Exeter.

Beavers can expect to have a fun-filled time with activities ranging from nights away to climbing, environmental work to first aid, with a lot more in between.

There are a diverse range of badges that Beavers can achieve during their time with a colony.

  • Activity badges are gained by progressing in either new or existing activities.
  • Challenge badges are gained after completing more ambitious projects within the colony and the local community.
  • The bronze chief scouts award is the highest badge that a Beaver can achieve.

All Beavers try to live up to our motto ~ FUN AND FRIENDS
