Welcome to the Cubs section of the Exeter District Scouts

Exeter Cub Scouts is open to all boys and girls aged 8 to 10 and a half, all over the city of Exeter, whether moving on from Beavers or new to Scouting then when ready moving on to Scouts. During their weekly meetings they will have lots of fun doing many different activities from the traditional Scouting skills of knotting and fire lighting to climbing, archery, shooting all put in by leaders in the District. There are also many other events arranged such as camping in tents, fun days and evenings out, competitions and challenges with other Cubs from the District and County. As a Cub Scout, taking part in these events and attending a ‘Pack’ night, the Cubs will be working towards a wide variety of badges and awards. The highest award to aim for is the Chief Scout Silver Award.

The Cubs will also make their Law and Promise when they are invested and have a motto:

I Promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And keep the Cub Scout Law

A Cub Scout always does their best
Thinks of others before themselves
And does a Good Turn everyday.
