NIGHTS AWAY & NAN forms:

Nights Away Notification & Approval (31st August 2023)

Please submit your Nights Away Notification (NAN) paper work (4 components)  14 days prior to your event. NANs submitted after deadline will not be approved.

 

  1. Nights Away Notification  (NAN) form. Please be aware if the latest version has not been used the NAN process will be rejected without review.

(A draft copy can be submitted to start this process confirming venue, date and Leader in Charge to gain an initial “ok” however a final version needs to be submitted within the 14 day deadline otherwise the event will not be given approval).

 

2. Event Programme and associated Risk Assessment (RA) for NA & sectional activities. (These can be a draft but please be aware the final  version needs to be submitted within the 14 day deadline.)

 

3. Menu for event.

 

4. and if necessary 3rd Party insurance and RAs for activities being undertaken under external person/company management.

 

Once all collated Leader in Charge needs to email nightsaway@scouts-exeter.org.uk. The Nights Aways Advisor will then either approve or request further information/amendments. Upon approval ADC / GSL will be included in approved email.

RISK ASSESSMENTS - each section needs to do a RA for every activity.

If you are leaving your meeting place then you need a RA.

If you attending an activity put on by a third party then you need your own RA for the event AND the following information Public Liability Insurance Certificate, and the supplier own RA for staging the activity. These need to be approved before you can attend the event.
